11th meeting of the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS
Due to the ongoing health crisis, the 11th plenary meeting of the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS will be held virtually and open to the public, allowing a glimpse into the various international tax-related workstreams undertaken by the Inclusive Framework to date.
A previously promised reduction of the top corporate income tax rate has been postponed and the top rate remains at 25 per cent. However, the lower tier tax bracket will be reduced to 15 per cent. In addition the lower tier tax bracket will be raised to EUR 245,000 and this will be further extended to EUR 395,000 in 2022.

Canada to increase carbon taxes by 566%

[The Conversation Africa] Late last year the Network for Genomic Surveillance in South Africa (NGS-SA) led by the KwaZulu-Natal Research Innovation and Sequencing Platform (KRISP) identified a rapidly spreading new variant of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
